Speak with your general healthcare provider for a referral. The other option is to speak with your dentist, or a dentist that specializes in Temporomandibular Joint issues. They can make custom mouth pieces that stop you from grinding and clenching during the night. Good luck!
Hi Cazbkr89,
You should check out in getting a mouth guard. I am in no way suggesting that this will be an absolute cure if you suffer from “TMJ” (Still see a doctor), but this will be a short-term solution to alleviating your jaw pain and protecting your teeth from grinding/clenching any further. Check out for affordable night guards .. good luck!

I have had TMJ problems for the last 5 months and finally gave in to suggestions to see a Chiropractor. I was very skeptical but IT WORKED! I have very minimal jaw pain and NO HEADACHES for the first time in 5 months–and after only 1 treatment! I have 3 more left to complete and then he thinks I’ll be pain free completely.
I also saw a massage therapist who specializes in “intraoral” massage. Not the most comfortable thing, but it helped loosen up my muscles!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
